</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Bryant spent the workout on an exercise bike, trying to get his cramping quadriceps loose. We suspect he'll play against the 49ers, but it's early to say with any certainty. It's also too early to be truly worried he won't play.

Bryant is being held out of practice again Thursday. "Cautious is not so much the word for it," explained Jones. "We think he can get ready and every day we buy giving him some time off on it I think we can." We'd like to see Bryant return to the field Friday, which is dedicated primarily to red-zone drills, before recommending him as a must-start. Rotoworld tentatively ranks Bryant as the No. 11 fantasy receiver this week.

Owner Jerry Jones suggested Bryant doesn't need to practice to play in games: "He's capable of making game-winning plays for us without that (practice) rep." Added coach Jason Garrett, "We're hopeful he'll continue to improve on his rehab and hopefully be ready to go on Sunday." It's a tough situation because the Cowboys don't play the 49ers until 4:05ET Sunday. Owners will have to make a decision on whether to start Bryant Sunday morning.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>"We'll see, we're hopeful," Garrett told Redskins reporters on a Wednesday conference call. The Cowboys don't start practicing this week until Thursday, so we'll know a bit more about Bryant's potential availability then. He could be a target monster on Monday night with Miles Austin (hamstring) not playing.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>"He's been punctual for treatment all week because he knows he could play a huge role (on Monday Night Football)," reported Werder. Werder also pointed out that Bryant has been "notorious" in the past for being late to meetings and appointments, and even skipping them entirely. It appears he's shaped up this week. With Miles Austin (hamstring) out for the game, the Cowboys will lean heavily on Bryant and Jason Witten tonight.
